Salt of the Earth Counseling Service was founded by Dr. George and Dr. Denise Bullard — a husband and wife team of licensed therapists with a shared calling to bring healing, restoration, and hope through biblically sound, Scripture-aligned, evidence-based counseling.
Together, they specialize in couples and family therapy, creating a space where relationships can be healed and strengthened. Individually, each brings a distinct specialty: Dr. Denise is devoted to serving veteran women and military spouses, while Dr. George focuses on veterans, active-duty service members, and those navigating the transition from military to civilian life.
Their practice is built on the conviction that healing is possible — and that every person deserves a safe, inviting, Spirit-led environment in which to pursue it.

A retired U.S. Army Veteran with nearly 23 years of active-duty service, Dr. Denise is a Board-Certified Christian Counselor, Licensed Professional Christian Therapist, Christian Chaplain, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and co-leader of Salt of the Earth Ministries and Counseling Service. She holds a Doctorate in Biblical Psychology, a Master’s in Theology, and a Master of Science in Accounting. Her work integrates biblical truth with evidence-based therapeutic practices to support healing and wholeness in mind, body, and spirit.

Originally from The Bahamas, Dr. George is a Deacon, retired Army Command Sergeant Major, and Licensed Professional Faith-Based Therapist. He served 26 years in the U.S. Army, including three combat tours in Iraq, and was awarded the Legion of Merit. He earned a Master’s in Theology and Doctorate in Biblical Psychology from Hope Bible Institute and draws on Scripture, psychological insight, CBT techniques, and firsthand military experience in his counseling work.
